All technology and software purchases will need WVU ITS approval, before being processed. For hardware purchases, please enter a ticket request (*note: link to ticket request page) with Statler ITS to ensure you are getting equipment compliant with WVU security standards. We have contracts with Dell and Apple and will try to get all hardware through those vendors on Mountaineer Marketplace when possible. If the purchase is made with the help of Statler ITS, we will fill out the IT Hardware Purchase Request Form on your behalf. All purchases over $5000 will require additional administrative review.
For software, all software must undergo a security review. To be more efficient with University resources, ITS may also recommend a similar product for which WVU is already licensed. All purchases will require the IT Software Purchase Request Form. Software may also be acquired from the Software Licensing Center (SLiC) for free or at a discounted rate, available to faculty, staff, and students.
